Marathon High School has a Community-Based Work Experience and On-the-Job Training Program that works with students who are seeking part-time and full-time employment for school credit, as well as students looking for after school and weekend jobs.
Throughout the school year we assist students in researching the local job market, applying for jobs, scheduling interviews and participation in job training in the community. We also monitor their job performance and attendance once employed. After graduation, a large number of these students continue to be a part of the local workforce, many in the jobs they have had during the school year.
An advantage for you, the employer, in hiring a student employee is the support they receive from our program. We are available to assist students who may need additional training in order to be successful on the job. Students who work part-time are also more flexible and can increase their work hours during holidays and summer breaks.
Please contact us with your staffing needs so that we can offer our services to assist you in supporting local student employees.
